Super mileage car team members included, not in the order they are standing, Gavin Bontrager, Dustin Brown, Rhett Coblentz, Owen Donahoe, Dylan Elpusan, Meghan Fretz, Trevor Haessig, Ethan Knepp, Logan McGuire, Ryan Pruitt, Kylee Rostochak, Conner Rummel, Caleb Whirledge and Ben Wirebaugh.
SYRACUSE — Wawasee High School entered diesel and ethanol super mileage cars in the 2016 Shell Eco-marathon in downtown Detroit the weekend of April 23.
Both vehicles finished third in their respective categories. The diesel vehicle achieved 862 miles per gallon while the ethanol vehicle achieved 779 miles per gallon.
