SYRACUSE — There will be a community prayer service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, in the Wawasee High School cafeteria.

Syracuse-Wawasee Ministerial Association has held similar prayer services in the past at the high school, noted Pastor Brad Cox. He said this year’s prayer service, though it is one day prior to Sept. 11, is not being held specifically because of Patriot Day but rather prayers will be offered for students, teachers, administrators and staff members in Wawasee schools.
Also, he added, because of the open house at the new Syracuse Elementary School and Turf Day at Warrior Field the same day, it was noted 2 p.m. would be a good time for the prayer service.
