Wawasee Offering Spring Continuing Education Classes

Wawasee School Corp WSC 2014 IconSYRACUSE — Registration began Thursday, Jan. 25, for spring adult continuing education classes at Wawasee High School.

Registration fees must accompany each registration. Enrollments are limited and early registrations will be given preference. Your check will be returned if the class is filled or cancelled.

For more information, call (574) 457-3147, extension 2209, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Pathways office is located on the south side of Wawasee High School.

Classes offered are:

• GED/high school equivalency classes are free of charge and began Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Center for Academic Progress building across from the administration building. Class times are 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• Swimming begins Tuesday, April 10, and will cost $45. Nine classes will be held for various levels from infant through level four Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through April 26 in the Wawasee High School Pool. Start time depends on the level.

• Water exercise begins Thursday, Feb. 15, and will cost $40. Twelve classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through March 27 in the Wawasee High School Pool.

• A tentative start date is set for early March for beginning and advanced welding classes in the new welding facility on Chicago Street in Syracuse, just east of the high school. Various welding certifications will be offered.
