SYRACUSE — The Mitchell J. Price Memorial Scholarship Fund is a component of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. It was started by Price’s family to honor his legacy.
Price was a Wawasee High School graduate. He loved to volunteer by giving back to his community and served on the Milford Fire Department and was an EMT for over 30 years.
This scholarship is for a Wawasee High School graduate who is applying for a college career in first responder/medical and/or who has done their share in volunteering and giving back to their community.
It’s a one-time, $1,000 scholarship presented to one Wawasee High School graduate each year.
It’s the family’s goal to raise enough funds to be able to follow that student for four years of their college career.
